Must be a Dutch word.

I meant a game between two countries.

Additional: The year it was played.

I apologise to Willem for not waiting to check if that last answer was right, but here's another question for anyone. If the last answer wasn't then please ignore this question.

Which team made their way into the Guinness Book of Records for scoring twice in 9 seconds without the other team touching the ball? (This only happened because half-time was blown after the first goal)

Might seem quite hard because it's unlikely that most of the fanatics will have heard of the team, but if it's in the Guinness Book of Records then it shouldn't be too hard to find. The match was on the 23rd September 2000. Good luck.
I'm only asking this because my mate supports this team.

[edit]: Wow - he answered while I was still typing. That's happened a couple of times to me now. Spooky.

Wycombe Wanderers

I remember them from the game called Ultimate Soccer Manager. In the demo you can only play as Brighton & Hove Alb. !lol!

hmmmmmm. It's hard to think of a not-easy one....

Question:We all know Dutch suck at penalties: even the best shoot the ball more than often via the post or the goalie. Now the question: When did the 'penalty-saga', that is still continuing, begin?

With this I mean the 'missing important penalties in onbe straight line'

Well, I mean in important matches. And it would be difficult to not score a penalty against that goalie. Though Holland would have most chances of missing against him.......

(Sigh)

Only in America can a game similar to rugby and where the foot is not the primary means of moving the ball be called "football." Only REAL football is called "soccer" with a hard 'c' before an 'e'! If you ask me, it should be pronounced like "soxer." And how do you manage to mangle the word "association" to sound like "socker"? Only in America (Canada too). ;)

Well, Jelly Donut, the reason it is so called is because the real name for football (as we know it) is Association Football, so called because the English Football Association was the first group to organise competitive matches in the formats we recognise today. Soccer is a nickname - an abbreviation of the name Assoc. Football. Football then was a generic term for all kinds of games with a ball - we still have the Rugby Football League and Australian Rules Football is a bizarre mix of the two.

Anyway - Willem, do you want to ask another question?

OK, so allow me.
