custom game want more then 18 players

i posted a question simple worth while question

And then proceeded to ignore peoples' replies and get indignant that they didn't spoon feed you what you wanted. They all told you what to do. That seems to indicate a lack of patience to me.

anyways, usefull iformation i looked over the DLL CvGameCoreDLL that comes with rhykes earth mode i didnt really see anything to usefull but i thought maybe i was lacking something.

so what i did was i saved the defualt as a sepeart file and i moved this on into it place and over wrote it.

it actully pretty much did nothing defualt was still implace so the CvGameCoreDLL has nothing to do with how many players are in the game.

First thing I'm going to say is this: if nothing in the zip looked useful to you, chances are you have no business trying to increase the civ cap anyway.

The DLL file works as part of a mod, which means you'll need to place it as part of a mod in your mods directory. I don't believe it'll run as a replacement.

I guess you also assumed that since it didn't work right off Rhye (not Rhyke) was lying about what the file did.

no i just figured i was missing something.

and as for thinking it would work just as well as a replacement yah i figured that becuase alot of the files and mods do work as replacements.

and as for DLL files yah no i got no exprince working with i dont remember every claiming to know anything about programing.

only thing i know is that the cvgamedll files in folder in civ4 you can actulyl read using notebook one that came with rhykes u cant.

Ill give this try, with file into folder called mods but i dont really understand why one wouldnt be able to replace the un edited file with the edited file and have changes take effect.

as for placing it in worng place by acident yah so what oooo like i said i mis read civ4 and put civ3

yah they didnt only guy who helped out in any way was orginaly bill3000 which if i remember right i ended up thanking him for it.

senes he was the one and only one and the frist one who gave me idea of where to look and i also replayed that i would start there.

every one elees just kept saying why dont u search for it. but what ever i sure u i wont be losing any sleep over anything

yah by way i also sometimes mis spell words but putting missing up where letters go.

If you're not willing to take the time to get a person's name right, then you're not showing the patience you say you have.
