I've been trying to make a scenario. However, due to an unforseen error, I could play Player 1's civ pretty fine, but it appears that it is impossible to add custom player data without the game crashing on loading. It seems that the crash happens whenever the computer tries to load the player data for the player just after the one I added info for. Here's a link to it.

Nobody? :(

I havent had any success trying to launch players 2,3,4 in the player setup menu as it crashes after you launch and it tries and load into the game. The civs' worked when I took out Custom Player Data. I did try a few other things but it didnt make any difference.

I'm not sure what else to try. I have never had any issues using the Custom Player Data so not sure what could cause this problem. Only thing I would suggest would be to try and redo the civs maybe, or cut down the links to the other scenario files and put it in your own mod folder. The crash occurs after you launch that civ, so it could be some sort of menu, unit, or something you get at start of that player or civ.

Here's what I've come up with(my own guesses and some comments)

Rant mode: on
If you're going to make custom units/techs why not make them completely custom? I liked the world map

Rant mode: off

Now from what I've seen here, you don't have a Civilopedia.txt in the main files, I'm not used to seeing that, the music.txt, where is the music located? I saw nothing pointing to where the music was..

and all the other bits and pieces you have, well, I've never seen al that either, so my guess is either the music is the culprit(just proven false from a recent test) or one of the scripts is bad, or something you did in there, that's why you test each individual piece so you can find out what's what.

I learned to make backups, to test each and every individual unit/tech/civilization myself too.

Fixed it, thought not sure which one of the two things I tied did it:

1) I made sure that players 3 through 31 were assigned to civs

2) I noticed that there were less than 31 starting locations on the map, so I added a few of them to bump them up to 31.
