People making a statement about spamming and asking not to be banned will be banned, judging fr previous cases.....

It's interesting to see that any thread in site feedback automatically turns into one huge spamfest... Maybe TF needs a new mod sidekick.

Maybe people just need to follow the rules, it would make it much simpler. ;)

I don't get why do you guys talk so much about spaming!!!

I didn't need to make any kind of effort to achieve 600 or 800.
I just posted my opinion here and there and before I noticed 600 had been broken.

What is to spam?!?
I had never heard that word till June, 20th and from what I understand now, to spam is just to be rude to others, being bored and try to kill a thread posting of-thread's topic things that noone care jsut to make threads go to "threads' heaven".

It's clearly a very bad habit for a poster to post posts without any kind of interest, and I deeply believe that no CF comes to CFC just to do so!!!

Nevertheless, people here pass many time saying: "you are a spammer", "don't do that spam", "do not spam",...
Why?

Because there are just some kinds of people out there who just love to do such spamming - posting rubbish to increase their postcount for some obscure self-gratifying reason. ;) Your faith in humanity is nice but this Internet thingie being the new Wild West, all kinds of people are wandering aound out there.

Personally, I'd rather not dig thru 20 posts of 'I agree' or single smiley statements before getting to a substantial post in a thread. ;) The mods here did a great job in putting a stop to such nonsense. :goodjob: :)

Sometimes I give just a . In threads that I think are very cool, have no answers or are passing to page 2 and deserve to be pulled up...

But why do it frequently? What is the point to have an high post count?
I agree with that idea of Wild West, but I fail to understand why people today do that... Especially because the most spamming time was BEFORE post-counting to be seen under one's title!
(older posters can confirm this one...)

It's so easy to pull our post count till 300. Why to spam? Just participate in many threads and give your opinion normally in all OT and General CIV3 threads, play a bit chess, open a thread about your favourite games in other Games, ask things in Site feedback, go to CIV1 forum to ask stuff, put jokes on-line,...
It's so easy that it should be natural...

Why go to all that trouble when I can simply do like this! :D

What is this thread about? Judging from posts on this page it is about: :D, , spamming to get 1000 posts, following rules, a new mod, Wild Wild West, and a new vBulletin feature. What a day! TF you really have your hands tied these days... :)

They started it. :p I was only responding to posts above mine, like always. ;) :D OK, enough. This thread has gone way way over the edge of the title....

That's the fun of it. I can't understand the topic of this thread at all.

OT, I think we should get rid of custom avatas altogether!! They eat up server space. :(
