So yeah, CDS is no more. GOONS refused them the right to surrender or disband so they authotirized the use of nukes, but there was a spy in CDS who leaked the info and someone led a coup (though it is unclear on wether he had admin powers before the coup or if he hacked the board) and banned all the CDS admins on their forum and gave admin powers to GOONS members. SO CDS is no more. The CDS that may "survive" the war will be a mere puppet filled with Initiative members.

At least the "puppet" will be smarter than the last government. Also it's not made up of GOONS members, none of us have anything to do with the coup. One guy has a Goons mask on the forum, but it is an old one from not being de-masked. Good news for both sides I think, CDS doesn't get nuked to oblivion by us, and the Sacred War ends for us. Sad that VE left though.

Okay, eyah, my misinformatino there, the new gov't is made up of NPO mostly and a former LUE.
The new gov't surrendered, of course, CDS is to pay $200,000,000. Which I find hard to beleive isnce CDS has suffered badly with most of their nations in or near ZI.
I bet that the CDS members are reallly shocked and angry.

They should probably set up new forums and if the old leadership is still around then put them back in power or get a new leadership if they are gone. I can't believe TI actually did that, I mean they spied (the very reason they went to war against GATO for) abused admin powers and possibly even hacked. Wow, all respect I had for them just went *poof*

I'm not sure how the general CDS member will take this, talks are going on right now. Also, no one in the Initiative spied, I don't know where you get that. Abusing admin powers was true, that's how they took control of CDS. No hacking occurred that I know of, why would we need to?

Well, it depends, if one of the members of the coup had admin access before hand, then he could have easily taken control, but if none of them had admin pwoers before hand, they had to have hacked.
I don't know the answer to that, nd i doesn't matter too much, what's done is done.
And the initiative does spy, or at least has no shortage of a "concerned member" or two in other alliances. During discussions a few times between our leaders and the TI leaders (over the last several months) the occaisional screen shot of our members only section of our forums pops up...

One of the members did have admin access, that's why the coup happened so quickly. I think it was Rambo, but that's only what I've heard, not sure if it's true. We don't openly spy, or promote it from what I know, but "concerned members" does sound reasonable, but I don't think that would be something only the Initiative did. Also, congratulations on peace, hope you guys are able to rebuild quickly.

Not as harsh as Legion's terms, they have to actualy kick out VL Emprie and Great Britain and pay $800 MILLION.

Wait, Legion was part of it and lost? Thank god, I was in the Legion right before the war broke out, when I got the message to prepare for war, I fled like a coward, yay for me. I'm weak anyway, wouldn't have accomplished anything.

Hehe, I've survived from my war. I got my alliance to attack both my enemy and his financial assistant, who gave him lots of tech and money. Both have said in school that they quit CN.
