Cyber Nations

A few days ago my friend got me to sign up for this online nation simulator called Cybernations. It's a pretty cool game, though its kind of slow to start unless you have friends already in the game to give you money. Its kind of like Civ in a lot of ways, theres resources, diplomacy, and even wars. The best part is, it's completely free! I figured you Civilization lovers might enjoy this as well.

For those of you who join, or already have a nation, my nation is Xonia. Oh, and you should join my alliance the Global Defense Initiative. :D
 
I've been using CN for about a week and a half. It's a lot of fun, but I enjoy it mostly because of the complex trade and alliance interactions. (I'd say about 90% of the game actually takes place on the alliance forums and private messages) You can see my nation here.

Anyway, I'd reccomend my alliance, The Imperial Republic. We're pretty small, at only 58 members, but most of said members are near freakishly obsessed with CN, so we have a Senate, with regular elections, ministers, appointments, and a banking system. It might be to your tastes if you enjoy smaller, more personal alliances where you'll actually get to know all the people you're playing with. :)

Don’t despair yet. The unease about VE has had tremors across the WUT rank and file. In many people’s opinions, WUT is big, perhaps too big and many even go as far as to say most of them are ‘hangers on’.

If I was a non WUT nation with any influence, I’d be saying, lets bide our time and see if WUT lasts, lets make sure we are organised internally, lets make we’re are talking to each other, lets make sure our aid trees and military are up to scratch. But now is not the time, as TI is VERY strong.

And If I was GPA… I would learn how to flipping fight, cos when most of your top 50 nations have ‘0 Casualties’ you should start to worry. I don’t know why but I have a feeling WUT will eventually come after them, something will kick it off… GPS must know that eventually, WUT is coming for them…

Great fun eh?
 
Hey, I just signed up, how do I join the CFC alliance or whatever?
 
It would be cool, but the alliance would be too small. Of course we can make a mini-alliance that is under surveillance of some bigger alliance. Like FCO. :D
 
That ounds fun, How do I add you guys? I'm nc1701, and my nation is called The Agency.
 
A civ allaince huh? Hmm.... lots of smaller allisnces do great, as long as they dont piss anyone off. And the way FAN acts all one member needs to do is aid the wrong person and the whole allaince is made to pay :(

Call it Civilisation or somthign not CFC :P

:lol: :lol: That's a very good point you make, about many of GPA's top nations having no casualties. As it stands though, I assure you, GPA is NOT a target of the Initiative; there is no reason for them to be a target. The Viridian Entente left the Initiative and was planning to join GUARD... that's after they attempted to set up an offshoot, OE, in the Black sphere. There was no way that we were going to allow the military know-how gleaned from many successful combat actions to fall into the hands of GUARD. VE had access to all sort of sensitive info. While relations with GUARD at the moment are nothing but good, they are the other power bloc of a sort on Planet Bob.

I can assure you, The Initiative has no desire to rule Planet Bob and just destroy things. Were we to do that we would be eliminating the funnest part of the game: Competition. Every now and again some alliance or group is in need of some renovations. When that happens, renovation is given. ;)

So who has tech for sale at the moment? I might be able to find you some buyers. Hit me with a PM, either here or in game (that would be better). My nation name is the same there as here.
 
Greenpeace and I are starting a CFCish alliance soon. Though it was greatly delayed in that massive war where they killed 2,000 infra and 200 tech from me.
 
I won't join to your alliance, though I will try to negotiate an alliance with you by asking a permission from FCO's leaders. And I may be FCO's ambassador in your alliance!

Though the friendship between CFC-alliance and FCO can't occur if we must go to war if you go. It could be just a NAP(=Non-Agression Pact?).

Edit: When the CFC-alliance's name is confirmed and it is found, I'll make a thread about it here. Just to recruit more members, as people will then see that a CFC-alliance is alive without searching this thread.

Haha yeah. But i only say this as a devoted member of a WUT allaince for over a year now, irc and MSN chats suggest some standard members don't like the way TI is going. If you read Somthing Awful CN thread for example... i'm not convinced.

Theres another war-a-coming... is there anyone left that can put up a decent fight and won't disband day 1 in...

Man i need to get some tech.

Yeah, but it's not going to start for a while. It's all unofficial ATM.
