Well, I can't understand why Civ Fanatics doesn't allow WinRAR files. I could have uploaded it as an attachment as it's only 476kb in WinRAR, but it's 520 in WinZIP. Ok, beta testers who are still around, here is the patch fixing a few more things. Once Evo-Games comes back online I'll move it back to the beta forum, but for now I can't allow too much time to be wasted, my time for this mod is running out. And the fans are waiting patiently. ;)

For those who are not testing, this won't work for you, it's not the complete mod. It is only a patch to the beta. Sorry.

Cool. Funny, right after I posted it here, Evo-Games came online. Oh well. I'm going to leave it here a while longer, I'm in the process of transfering all the files on the CDG server to the new one at Evo-Games, so that will take a ton of time. Then I'll have to relink everything on the testing forum and my other threads over there, so hopefully this works. That's the server the mod will be uploaded on. Once testing is finished.

Ok, this thing is way over due, but it is reaching a level that my perfectionist self can live with almost. I'll keep tweeking it anyway, but I need to stop long enough for this thing to go public.

It is still missing 2 to 4 vital unit graphix and 2 or 3 leader graphix that are in the works, but haven't been finished. I'm planning an update patch later this summer that will improve the civilopedia and give more background to Mystara as well as introducing new units and graphix. Some things are not great like diplomacy text isn't touched so don't be alarmed when the Great King of Giants says he's late for a milk bath when you first encounter him. Some other text are still incomplete but the game so far seems to run without crashes and what is in graphix wise is the best it can be.

So really the big question here is...How do I make this available to you guys? I plan to break it down into smaller downloads at Evo-Games so those with dial-up can download easier. And maybe 1 big one to upload here if Thunderfall gives me an ok (which I haven't asked yet).

Uncompressed this thing is 946mb. Compressed with RAR it is still 594mb and with ZIP it is even bigger, 646mb to be exact.

At Evo-Games it will surely be in RAR, so how many parts should I break it up into? They will all be set up so that you extract them the same way and the mod will put itself together. So those of you who are not civ modding experts should have no problem with multiple downloads. If I get no response then I'll just do the Evo-Games till someone asks me nicely to do otherwise. I'm going to finish the previews pages first before setting up links to download so that I can open up here and at Evo at the same time.

Great! I look forward to playing...

My only request is you make the installation as simple as possible (auto-installer?). I am all thumbs when it comes to computers. Have a cable modem though, so I am not as concerned about splitting it up.

Well the multiple download thing would require RAR which is pretty simple to use when extracting. You just direct it to the correct folder whiich I will post the location of in the downloads thread and extract all the folders to the same location (Which RAR saves in a drop down in the extraction menu).

I'll check with Evo-Games and see if I have space to put the mod on the server twice. Like a full download file and then the broken up one. Otherwise I will contact Thunderfall about putting a full download here.

The auto-installer thing, I'm not familiar with those really, but they seem to be the same as a full extract, and I think different versions of Conquests has different locations depending on how they were installed so I'm not sure how an auto-installer would know where to put the mod. I'm pretty good at simplifying the install anyway, none of my testers had any problems with the dozens of files they had to extract and some of them weren't computer geniuses either.

EDIT: Today is my wedding anniversary so don't expect a lot of results today, but I'll do as much of the previews as I can at Evo-Games which I'll duplicate here at CivFanatics after it's uploaded. ;)
