Damn, need help

Okay, I think I am gonna play on a smaller map next time because I end up slacking off a bit and rushing things up after a while.

Okay, my current problem is that I am really weak militarily and I don't know who I should attack next. And I don't know what I should do to widen the gap between me and others.

I am also wondering why I can't keep great engineers for more than 100 turns, they seem to have disappeared without I noticed.

Why would you not use the Eng in 100 turns? If you are saving to trigger another GA, I would not wait that long. Anyway this is for III, not IV, so probably not a lot of experts here.

my guess is that he is popping a second GL and hitting the "Start Golden Age" button, not realizing he is using the great engineer with the second GL. I did that a couple of times by mistake in CivIV. The easy solution is, yes, using the great engineer before getting another GL. And why not? That engineer is priceless in my book...
