Additional Information:
I have the OOS Patch installed. The installer for it can be found [here] and the dll can be found [here]. If you have Civilization 4 installed into the default location you can use the installer but if you have the game installed in a different location, like me, you will need to download the dll which is in a zip file. Backup the original dll by renaming it (I renamed mine from CvGameCoreDLL.dll to CvGameCoreDLL.dll.orig). Extract the dll to your directory <Civ4>\Beyond the Sword\Assets\, where <Civ4> is the directory you installed Civilization 4.

I believe the above options we all agreed to (at least for the most part). A few made comments about choosing leaders with no financial leaders allowed- I have no problem with this rule.

So, who wants what leader? The only fair way I can see resolving this is the first come first served method and I will choose last- I hope you all agree.

I just signed up for civstats and when the game begins I will make sure it is up there.
Until we decide on the leaders I will have the PitBoss server up with random leaders for people to test without a password.
 
Also, do you want to stick with the standard leader/civ combos, or open up unrestricted?

If not, I'd like to try Joao.
 
I'm disagree about duplicate leaders, it will make only needless problems.

I'd like to play Roosvelt.

btw. I must install this OOC patch, becouse i made a turn 20 seconds ago and everything seems ok.
 
I was thinking about Isabella the Viking for unrestricted.

Edit: Maybe we're safer just going with conventional combos ... that naturally removes the Dutch & Vikings, both of whom are very well suited for Archipelago-type maps.

If we go unrestricted leaders we'd better forbid the Dutch.

Dutch provide a naval UU requiring Astronomy only which is unstoppable until people get both Astro and Chemistry, may be quite a while especially when all your seafood is pillaged.

But even more crucially, the Dutch UB provides a massive increase in MFG in the Industrial Age. On a large map, it's unlikely the game will be decided prior to Industrial Age, go figure.
 
Oh, I just noticed that there's no mention of events in the Game Options section. I we are turning off Barbs & Huts, should we not also be turning off Events? They create even more randomness than I assume we were trying to avoid by removing Barbs & Huts.

Edit: BTW, I like some randomness
 
If I was allowed to this game, I would make the preference of Leader be done first in a randomized order, then in reverse order, starting with the last, choose a civ. We can also agree to omit vikings, dutch and portugal from this.
