Oh, I didn't realize Xbox would have different AI's. I'll try this and see if I can figure out how to use a Game and Map Seed on my PC for this first one. Thanks!

I suspect you wont be able to create the same save as it likely has an AI you dont have access to. Going forward will have to be sure to not use the delux and founders AIs until they are released. Im sure one of us can whip an alternate save that is available to everyone

I might have missed something regarding memenots, but don´t you choose mementos before you start a game? I mean everybody hase the same savefile with the same mementos (or no mementos) so how can comparability be a problem?

Mementos can be changed when eras change. So if there are games with three eras, this question will be relevant.

I'm playing on Xbox I'm going to have different AI's then the players playing the posted save.

I may be wrong, but it seems to me that the AI is determined by the seed and the starting position of the player. It is unlikely that the developers will write a different AI for Xbox. At least there is no need to worry about it. I have now tried to play the starting save several times and depending on how I started the game, the AI behaved differently (but the same with the same start).

I can't play the save file because I don't own the two of the DLCs. So I'm assuming the game was started with the Deluxe or Founders editions; I only bought the base game.

Using the map and game seeds in the original post did create the exact same starting spot but it didn't create the same AI opponents because I can play it. Must just work like the Xbox talked about above. You just need to start a new game and used Advanced setup to set all the same settings as mentioned in the OP, then when you get to the last page you can change the game and map seed. Since this first one is just a test it'll be interesting to see what the rest of the map looks like; do the AI have the same starting locations even though they're not the same, are the same city states in the game, etc.

I've tried setting this up several times on Mac and I'm getting a totally different starting location. It shouldn't be but... maybe the RNG is different on Mac vs PC? I can't load without the DLC either. Can someone upload a save without DLC?

I have my first Gotm for the lower difficulties set up with out any DLC once im happy with it I will try and create a Roman Agustus save

I am missing Persona Napoleon - so I cannot load it. I have Founders edition, so it is rather annoying to make changes just for the first game.

Wow. I didn't expect GotM to start at launch day there had been several weeks to maybe a months or two before Civ6 GotM started and there wasn't issues like Mementos to solve back then so i was playing some regular games to test the new features and not visiting the forum. Will have to look at this one.
Based on what i see i might settle on spot or maybe 1-NE to get more room between the mountains and my capital thought i would have to check fresh water (i don't think tiles adjacent to smaller rivers have fresh water )
Will probably go 3x scout but exploration will feel painful without "Imago Mundi"
