It makes me cry to see it.

Thus, I didn't want to be only one miserable and chose to spread the misery cuz misery loves company! ;O

What a shame.

I think what would be worse in a Petra location when is I have a spot that is perfect for it and then not build it in time, only to discover that the civ that did build it has barely any desert next to their city. That alone makes me reload back to before I started to built the Petra, if there was no way I could get a GE in time to rush build it. It's such a great wonder, if situational.

I saw one worse than this in the "Funny Screenshots" thread. AI built Petra in a city with no desert at all. Apparently a nearby mountain was situated on a desert tile and counted for building Petra.

Hey, at least he had one desert tile.

What type of map is that?

Tectonics Map Script V.3 by a guy named Haftetavenscrap.. You can find him on steamworkshop on the steam.

This map sounds interesting, naval and continental. Infortunately my computer is not powerful enough..
About Petra, maybe the AI built it in a preventive way. It (or she, he, about an AI?) saw a another civ that had a lot of desert tiles near their city, and said "well, if I build here, this guy will not get it"

That's possible xD

Plus Petra gives you one extra trade route and gives a free land caravan if you build it.
