Suggestions: Head west to secure the iron. We should be trying for horses. Can we get some ships on the water? Good city sites include 4sw of Uruk on the river and 3se of Eulbar in the vacant area.
 
If China doesn't pick this up by the time I get home I'll grab it and play.

Crank research to bring in Republic in 11 turns.
All else left alone.

Turn 1 – 310 BC
Moving settlers out to claim more territory.
Kill one of 7 barb horses.

IBT:
Arab warrior kills two BH’s and falls to the third.
Our bowmen takes out three and promotes to elite.
Curragh survives BGalley ambush.

Turn 2 – 290 BC
We’re a little understaffed so most builds will be for bows and workers.

IBT:
Barb horses galor.

Turn 3 – 270 BC
Going to have to use caution as BH’s (12) are thick.
Curragh sunk.

IBT:
BH out of the fog bags a worker.
Bowman kills off three and promotes to elite (2/5).
Despite wins there are now 14.

Turn 4 – 250 BC
Kill two BH’s

IBT:
Arabs seem to be keeping some of the BH’s busy.
3 BH’s kill elite bowman in forest.
BH’s take a turn south and seem to be heading for Arab territory. Bummer.

Turn 5 – 230 BC
Kill two BH’s and send two bows after the barb camp.


Turn 6 – 210 BC
Trying to clear the road before our settlers.

Elite bow almost (1/5) loses to BH.

Turn 7 – 190 BC
Pushing forward w/ the bows.

IBT: Not paying attention to position and lose another worker.

Turn 8 – 170 to 150 BC
Nothing

IBT: Republic comes in a little early due to growth. Next tech is Wheel.
Not going to revolt until this BH infestation is dealt with.

Turn 10 – 130 BC
Barb camp sacked for 25g

Busted one barb camp guarded by a lone barb. There are no more camps visible but we know they're out there.

The three bows in the west dispatched the barb camp and clear things out for the settler outside of Uruk.

Also, you might notice that the AI can see our bows and is sending the BH's to the opposite side of the mountains to sack Arab lands.

0) 330BC: We need more cities, I see we are resolving that problem.

1) 310BC: Received reports of massive uprising near Uruk. Where IS everyone?

2) 290BC: Barbs kill an Arab warrior after warrior kills 2 others. Our bowman on a mountain kills 3 horses, going leet. A stack of horsemen go out from the barb camp to nw. Ellipi settler-->bowman. Eulbar temple-->curragh. Uruk-Akkad road finished. Bringing warrior2 home, he's doing no good stuck in Arab backwaters.

3) 270BC: Samarra settler-->rax. Shuruppak temple-->rax. Babylon rax-->Pyramids.

4) 250BC: Worker lost near Uruk, bowmen take revenge. Curragh sunk. Zariqum roaded.

5) 230BC: Ashur settler-->bowman. Uruk worker-->rax. Carchemish built, starts temple.

6) 210BC: Gotta luv stupid AI. Instead of attacking my wounded bowman on plains, they attack a healthy bowman on mountain.

7) 190BC: Mari built, starts temple. Bowman fails to kill warrior.

8) 170BC: Bowman fails to kill warrior.

9) 150BC: Barb camp to nw cleared out.

10) 130BC: Barb horse cuts road w of Akkad. Akkad settler-->bowman. Eulbar curragh-->curragh. Izibia worker-->curragh. Larsa built, starts temple. Nimrud built, starts rax.

unfinished business: Warrior escort settler to bowman camped in nw and build city. Another city can go w of Nippur on grassland, though it will take a while to become truly productive with all the volcanos around. Keep sending out curraghs to find contacts. Expand west and claim iron. Try to keep Arabs from expanding west as well.

Republic comes in 3 turns. The barb threat has largely been dealt with.
 
lurker's comment: Nice little empire. Aside from not meeting any neighbors, the game is going very well. But here's my question. Isn't that northernmost green dot a little risky? I never settle next to a volcano if I can help it. Especially since there is little usable land around that site. If it were my game, I'd rather take the spot either E-E-SE or E-SE-SE from that green dot. They are near two volcanoes, but not directly adjacent to either.

@ rbird - right, you are.
i dont like volcanoes either, but that site is supposed to build a temple, and just add some culture points. lets call it a small happy village.
the two other spots are right on aswell. 2 more villages in our expanding universe.
the dotmap was left with some holes to allow for future spots to be squeezed in.

pre turn - not much.

1- Ninveh rax > bow, move the settler pair to the red dot, as the current place is all lava'd up. kill a BH with a warrior.

2- Ottomans (ISTANBUL) COMPLETE MoM. Ellipi bow > bow, move some for security purposes.

3- Hurrians have snunk under my scanners, we lose 8g. we also lose our scoutimng curragh.
REP is in, start MAth @ 60 in 8, -1gpt.
Ashur bow > bow, Shurpak rax > bow,

4- nothing, just drifting along.

5- build Zamua (on NW red dot) > curragh, build Khorsabad > temple (on Eridu reddot),
@ end turn decide its as good a time as any, so i revolt.

6 - we lose another 6 gold to a sneaky barb horse (snuck through 1 warrior + 2 bow to get to Khorsabad).

7- we are a republic now.

in the far west we have 13 BarbHorses riding north VS our 7 (dispersed bows and 1 warrior)
otherwise quite a boring set. not a single war.

no pix were taken, as they were all occupied filming a nudie film.

PS - started about 4-5 settlers in the larger towns as we seem to have stopped making any. why is that? but they can be changed anyway.

PPS - nothingmuch to say, just Wagga Bugga Boo. you know what i mean.
