DBear02--Jerusalem

Dammit.

I hope those not familiar with the 20k principle got a few hints from the game. Especially

1) If you go for the first city to be the 20k city, never build more than one settler. Build maybe one or two warriors and nothing but culture after that as long as there is culture to build.

2) Don't focus too m uch on wonders, rush the normal culture buildings as soon as possible in order to let them double early.

3) Try to keep the tech pace low at all costs. This does mean never trading monopoly techs away, keeping trade actions low in general and fighting phony wars (which hasn't been done, but Spain had the other continent under control to early).

Saw the wall of tanks, which made me realize you probably didn't attack. Unless I'm mistaken about the only chance we had was invading Germany and/or destroying their shuttle parts. The problem was even at the end of my turnset our military was considered weak in comparison with Germany. I thought about sabatoging (sp?) their production but figured I'd let the next player try it.

Thanks to all who stuck this one out. :salute: This turned out to be a tough map and just didn't seem winnable. I'll try to pick an easier one when I start DBear03. I'm burned out on succession games for awhile, though.

DBear, take your time. But if you start a new one reserve one space for me. :)
