De-Automate Workers

I know this is probably too late to ask for, and quite hard to implement, but would it be possible to Un automate all workers?

Too often in games, in the later stages, i get fed up and automate all of my workers. But then i'll declare war on a civ, and want to use em again(workers), for building RR's to newly captured cities etc.

Why don't you just activate them at the beginning of a turn (by clicking on them)?

Because i have at least 80 workers by this point in the game. It takes ages to find them, and is very annoying. Otherwise i would

if they are in stacks, then right to fortify, and then unfortify

Automated Ai's never really go in stacks though, besides clearing pollution... (and i knew that )
