I cannot launch the game and I would like to know if the following message I got during installation has anything to do with it?
Put in Disc 1 and it installs as any other game would. Asks me to put in Disc 2 and after putting in Disc 2 I get the following message:
data3.cab 655.306 Cabinet File
I can "x" out of that and it seems to install the rest of the game without a problem and I even get the Civ IV shortcut but when I click on that, it goes to the "Loading" screen and no further.
I would hate to make all of the system changes when it merely because I happen to have a bad disc. Any thoughts would be appreciated as I sent an e-mail to 2K tech support back in mid November and just now received a reply that they cannot reply for some time yet because of the volume of tech requests.
