It's very nice, but where do I place it? Can't seem to find any "x_victory.pcx" to replace.

Agree with Sandris. He has a great sense of beauty, a compliment + just check units he made and you'll see it's a truth. :)

Kyr, I said "new" because it's a new one for me. I used a column with the statue on the top (which was included into the Ares terrain pack), but then switched to your new... Well, you see, I called it "new" again. :) I like it a lot, the only one thing I should notice about - Sandris was absolutely correct when suggested to make eagle brighter. I'll show you an example:

take Ares terrain, which very good and used by many people. Make an island consisting of hills only. Place your VP marker among hills.
Result: you see, the white column is almost completely hidden behind the hill, so column's brightness doesn't work here. And the eagle color is close (harmonically, yeah) to the terrain color. So the eagle doesn't "stand out" of terrain and easily noticed. That's why I said the suggestion from Sandris was truly helpful, and, you know, the suggestion from him always valuable - he made a lot of units, but these units not useful only (there were a lot of useful units before), but he made them with a new level of beauty, that's why you'll see them in any completed mod/scenario. The rest about VP - I mean, idea and realization - absolutely fantastic and I use this VP with great pleasure, but it'd be slightly improved and then become a perfect one.

And looking at this VP, I had a thought you could make a set of VP markers for different eras - the more you made, the more will be used. :)

About cities. I see you miss my comments, but still I prefer you intermediate style. I'll tell you why - look at this pic. These were cities, built around the centerpieces and filled with secondary buildings. They were truly cool. And your new sets are very close to your previous sets series - you rotated old set ~160 degrees, you made a frontal view instead of side view, you added new textures which are much better than you used previously (and this is the key to what makes people happy about your new sets), but cities remain as rectangles (which real cities never been) with exaggerated centerpieces (compare secondary house and statue sizes on this pic). So the only improvement here is a texture, but not a planning. And that's the thing which disappoints me - you stepped forward (and shown us a new horizon of city sets making), then backward (rejected the "new era") and changed small things only instead of big progression. And Stico headed the way of your "step forward" - and this made him a hero, and in your eyes too. The main reason of rejecting that intermediate set plan was an absence of the centerpiece for the size 1 - I remember your phrase "If I could model a statue..." Now you can. ;)

And about an impression from people. When you started to improvise with the new Greek set I reminded you about, all people said it's a great improvement (only Ares was unhappy, but he was temporary unhappy with your new style too). And when you switched to your current style, a lot of people said they don't like it. Why it didn't affect you - I don't know, but how it was. Time goes by and people forget your truly beautiful sets, but I still remember and miss them a lot. And I'm very sorry about rejected golden age of city sets making - we converted into monarchy from the chiefdom to get +12gpt, and this is instead of the Golden Age and +1200gpt.

Well it is sad to not like my work, but i can guarantee you i despise the style you presented as so fondly remembered. It was not mine to begin with, merely a copy (and its original was way better imo, the trojan set). Also the walls would become boring very soon. The size of the centerpieces was abysmally small, and this would ruin all my elaborate modeling... Last- but not least- it was harder to mass produce, you would not be seeing 11 sets of it in a month.

Don't be sad. :) It's impossible to be liked by all people (russian proverb). If good people like you, then bad people can't. There's no trouble.

You have a bad taste. :mwaha: Joking. :) And I love. It's a matter of taste - some people love Lady Gaga, some people prefer Cannibal Corpse. Everyone has a right to have their personal point of view.
It was not mine to begin with
It's a pity we don't know who invented 7 notes. And all these suckers just used them over years and remain instead of inventing their own ones... Silly, agree?

"IMO" is a key. IMO, not.
walls would become boring very soon.
Walls of different styles - not. :) It's great to see different walls, so I don't see any problem with it.
size of the centerpieces was abysmally small
Correct and proportional, I'd say.
this would ruin all my elaborate modeling...
Why not making a wonders series w/big splashes to show your attention to details in all its shining? ;) I remember a Great Wall because I use it. ;) And, even your current style doesn't reflect everything, centerpieces too small to demonstrate your talent.
Last- but not least- it was harder to mass produce, you would not be seeing 11 sets of it in a month.
IMO (and Pounder's opinion too), the last & the least. Why should I be happy about 11 sets produced and use 0 of them? I feel no happiness, I'm neutral absolutely.

And the first and the most:
