Okay, I recently started playing on decent level, but I cannot seem to get past the ancient age without being totally owned
by the AI's. They obviously have an enormous production advantage and keep grabbing every single patch of land. By the
time I have build four cities, the AI civs have built eight each ...
In the latest game, I am playing the Iroquois, and it seems I got
a very good starting position. Both horses and iron are very close,
and a few bonus-food tiles are nearby, too. My neighbors are the
Aztecs, the English and a bit farther away, the Americans.
How do I go about winning the game. It's obvious that peaceful coexistence is not much of an option in the early part of the game. Should I rush-build lots of mounted warriors in the early game and hope to overrun all of my three neighbors with them ?
