Apologies for this being perhaps something of a dumb question. I have for weeks wrestled with my computer to jury-rig a solution to let me play Civ II vanilla again which I've finally figured out. However, despite much effort I for some reason can't get the music to work. So my alternate solution is to rip the music tracks from the disc itself (which thankfully Windows sees as an audio CD for that purpose) and make a playlist which I can play on shuffle in the background to basically simulate a working soundtrack. This has actually been working really well but the one thing I'd like to do is add some pauses between the tracks since Civ II wasn't just constantly going from track to track with no gap. So I've created some silent soundtracks to throw into the mix so that e.g. between every track or two there will be say 2 minutes of silence. The thing is, I don't remember about how long the gaps were between the tracks on the game and as mentioned I can't get it running in quite the original format to see for myself.
So all of that is prelude to my rather dumb question: about how long are the gaps between soundtracks in vanilla Civ II? 90 seconds? 3 minutes? Did it vary?
At least I know by caring enough about this point to ask the question I have truly marked myself as a Civ fanatic...
