Deleting Cities

Its been mentioned before but I can't seem to find the right thread using the search function.

What is it you need to do to delete entire cities?

Ctrl + Shift + D on cheat menu, then disband the city unit.

CTRL+SHIFT+D destroys any units in the city, then SHIFT+D will simply disband the city (at least in MGE). Don't think this works in anything below FW.

And to do it in game you can use the change terrain event to change the city terrain.

I noticed that cities that I deleted with this keystroke disappeared completely from the game, but were still listed in CFritz's CivCity. Is this just a ToT oddity?

Cheap way to disband city with zero side effects: Buy settlers until population reaches zero

set the city to size 1 through -1 and place a barbarian next to it. then later deleat the barrbarian.
