Deleting posts

Can you delete your own posts?

If so, does that delete the posts under that?

If not, do you have to get a moderator to do it?

Regardless, does that delete the posts below that?

Does it subtract the post count?

You're not supposed to be able to, but there have been some people who said they have been able to in the past, or have at some point. Otherwise a moderator will have to do it.

Deleting the first post of a thread will delete the thread, but I don't think a post in the middle of the thread deletes the posts after it.

And I believe it does subtract from your post count.

well you can edit it so it says delete and then a mod normally deletes it

As Chieftess pointed out in a thread in off topic, (that's still waiting to be closed ) things that say "delete me" rarely are deleted. Mods don't like to delete things unnecessarily, I think. Can't blame them.

It's true that you CAN put delete me in a post and SOMETIMES mods will delete it. Most of the time, however, if the thread is in order we will skip right by it. If you really need a post/double post deleted just pm a moderator of that forum and they'll take care of it. Deleting the first post only will delete multiple posts, any other post can be deleted individually.
