Due to time contraints, I have enlisted the help of a couple prominent Civ 3 Democracy Players.

They are:

Chieftess
chiefpaco
eyrei
Shaitan

They are to be considered Moderators of the Democracy Game Forums in all aspects.

They will post the threads and polls for the elections and enforce forum rules within the Deomcracy Game Forums.

All of the retired people!! Then they have alot of free times on their hands.

Now that i think of it Chieftess is president so she isn't retired. Well it's close enough Presidents normally retire when it's the end of their term. That or they get assisanated.

Now that I think about it Shaitan isn't assisantated either. opps I mean retired.

Well anyway... Good Chocies!!

Is it appropriate to have active officials of the game modded?
This may effect their impartiality.

I think it is fine, dis. None of us actually have 'modly' powers as far as editing posts and banning people, so everything will eventually go through the Duke of Marlborough. We are basically acting as eyes, ears, and deputies because he is busy.

I understand your concern dis, but as eyrei said, they will have no powers to make any changes to anything. Plus, no one person will handle the responsibilities for the entire election process.

As a side note, I had originally planned to find people that were not active in the game to help, but TF liked the idea better to have people who are constantly visiting the game to help.

Plus, if any of them ever act in a manner that is not proper, they may be dropped from their status.

'k.
it just sounded like modding them. if they are not modded its ok.
so what will they actually do to enforce the rules?

is it possible in the forum to give ppl the right to sticky and move threads in the civ3-demoforum without modding them? this would be the thing we need to speed up the stickyness process.

They will post warnings if needed and help direct people to the proper proceedures for the game. I will be the one to enforce the rules if their warnings are not followed.

No, they cannot stick threads without being Modded. I know the sticky process is something that only I can do, that is why I spend the time I do have doing that. Since I spend my time doing that, I needed the help of the others to cover the rest of the game.
