Desktops...

Im back at uni, and this is the hideous facade we are presented with. We cant change the layout of anything, or toolbars in IE, settings in word etc even though we log on to a personal account - the university's policy of 'everyone must have the same desktop appearance no matter how bloody pointless the icons are to you'
Check out the new motto : no food no drinks no mobile phones. Prestigious! (Noone abides by it though, so its a bit of a joke, i can see ppl from here with water bottles and phones) Anyone have a latin translation of it?

As you can tell I like to go for a minimalistic theme.
I got the picture of Saturn from this site about 2 months ago.

And here is mine... Well, that's the desktop of my account on my father's computer, but it's very similar to the one on my computer.
The desktop changed every 15 minutes from a collection of similar satellite photographies.

that's a really beautifull satelite pic. Where did you get it from?

It's a screen shot from a huge picture of the whole world made by the NASA. You can download it from my website (ImageBrowser section), along with a soft to load it and browse it without needing a gig or so of RAM.
I'm afraid though that the hugest version, a massive 43600*21600 picture, is offline currently. You can get the zoom level of the one on my desktop with the "prepared Blue Marble images" pack though.
