Oh my, too many to look through for now. But I snapped my screenshot after reading this thread, minimizing and checking for anything embarassing. I resized it from 1024x768 to 800x600. It's usually more cluttered, but I cleaned it off (by moving everything into the "Stuff" folder) before I got on my recent Civ3 kick. The "Sid ..." task button is C3C running in the background from when I was checking out the goofed-up Sumerian E-Warrior attack animation. I always have just a solid color because photos just seem to slow the PC down and I never look at my desktop anyway. Yes, I usually have many programs open simultaneously except when actually playing Civ3. I also usually have a virus scanner and VPN program running in the task tray but turn them off for speed when running Civ3.
Most of those text files were composing SG or GOTM notes before posting so I don't lose all my typing if the browser or CivFan messes up. Some are temporarily copied files for Civ3 stuff.
Windows 2000 Pro desktop. Beatiful Font is free and called Bitstream Vera. 17 running processes- optimization at its best. note only one icon at taskbar.
Windows XP Pro desktop. This beatiful font is Verdana, anti-aliased and using Clear Type technology optimized to LCD monitors. Again 17 running processes.
