Actually it seems as if everyone who posted on this page is using firefox as their browser. I wonder how far it is from overtaking internet explorer.

From the RTS game 'Blitzkrieg' - A damn fine wallpaper, if I say so myself! :D

My computer is pretending to be a Mac today.

Shrunk to 800x600. The desktop is a picture taken in Mafia. I thought it looked neat, so it's my current desktop.

It was time for a change, and what can I say I love her. Avril Lavigne

Were you to hold an MG-34 like than and fire it, Hitler himself would come down from his bunker and shoot you in the head for being as ******** as the unwanted minorities you're hunting.
Holding an MG by the barrel and firing it from the hip leads to innacurate fire, the barrel dancing all over the place because of lack of support and my personal favorite, a crispy 3rd degree burn in your palm where you're holding a machine gun by the barrel.
I love the artwork, but as far as accuracy goes? They should do their ballistic research :)

It is a techinical possibility, and in fact was the only HMG of the day designed to be used not only in support role, but in emergency even in hand.
But yes, it's inaccurate, and jumpy.

There were numerous reports of Wermacht troops getting burns from holding the MP40 from the magazine while firing, and that was of a smaller caliber than the machine gun with a substanitally smaller clip capacity. MG-34 and MG-42 weapon platforms require you to change barrels due to overheating every few hundred rounds - holding one of those by hand is stupid and suicidial. In a life threathening emergency you'd probably be able to wield a swiss knife between your toes to cut ropes, but that doesn't make it practical to begin with - ESPECIALLY with a big ass Panzer at your back.

And if we're on the subject of wallpaper, I used to alternate between these two:

The grenadier's bizarre olive uniform, black t-shirt under the tunic and very rust-covered
Panzer IVs with matching vehicle numbers are also severe laspes of accuracy...

But No-one said Command and Conquer was a historic document either!

:)
