I bought a copy of Colonization from ebay since I was willing to wait for it to show up at my door, but I won't have an opportunity to actually go out to buy it in the next week or so. I paid $13 + shipping and I got a box in the mail that is obviously Civ IV-Colonization, but everything except the title is written in Cyrillic and it installed to c:\Program Files\Civilization IV - Colonization
...and when I try to install the patch, it says that I have to have Colonization installed for the patch to apply and no prior installation was found.
Did I accidentaly buy a pirated copy of the game, or did I buy a legit copy that was just made for Russia/Romania/etc?
What can I check to confirm this?
And how can I install the patch?
Any suggestions? The box does have a little hologram sticker on it, but that's in the same language too, so it could say "liscenced copy of Tetris" for all I know.
