@Underdawg: Ok, that proves it is possible to complete a game without actually playing... you have a tiny empire, are far behind in score and don't seem to do anything. If that's how you like it that's ok, of course, but I wouldn't call it playing.

Well I just wanted to show the extreme, I wasn't actually really playing (built some cottages then automated the workers the rest of the way and just built built built, you should see all my wonders - I whipped them all), else I'd have attacked Suryavarman ages ago. I didn't actually want to spend an additional full two hours or more.
But yes, I was rash in saying I could complete it in a time even remotely close to one hour. It's been a while since I've played normal (the only time I play normal is during the GOTMs). 3-8 hours (Hey, just like Firaxis said in that interview!) is a more realistic time frame. Especially when going for domination. BTW, is there a rally point key in this game? It's quite annoying to always have to order that rifleman that your capital makes in one turn to fortify or move and whatnot.
To set a rally point, select one or more cities (click the city bar), then shift+rightclick on the target tile. (If you want to set the rally point in a city, that city must not be selected.)
