Difference between Monarch and Emperor.

Are there any post where you can see what are the differences between Monarch and Emperor level and as a general question is the jump from Monarch to Emperor harder than from Prince to Monarch?

After played a few games on Emperor today all I can say 'huh' I guess I'm going to start generating a map couple times now on what I haven't done for ages. Extra settler what AI gets and 3 happiness can make the start very tricky. What I would like to hear also is that what kind of winning rate people are getting on Emperor. A long time ago I read that people are winning at any start on Monarch it was something unbelievable but now I can do it myself. I know play for fun but it could be still nice to hear people opinions.
