Difference Between Orignal Game and Extended Original Game

Whats the minor/major difference between the Original Game and Extended Original Game for Civ II - Test of Time? Which game do u normally play?

I think the major difference would be the 7th civ being an alien civilization that you can only kill by getting to Aplpha centauri first and then fightinhg them there...
