Diplomacy Music

I have custom music selected, with .mp3's in a separate folder playing. All goes well in that regard... except when the diplomacy screen comes up and interrupts the song I have playing. Is there any way to prevent the diplomacy screen from playing the national music so I can continue to listen to my choices without interruption? Thank you for your replies.

Yeah....the diplomacy music....i'd rather grate my face off than listen to that weed smokin stoner music that comes up every time I speak to Asoka, it drives me absolutely...to tears.

Russia is pretty close to that level of annoyance here. I rather enjoy ***** slapping cathering whenever possible.

It's come to the point where I've turned all sound off on Civ 4 and either have winamp playing or a portable CD player. The music got on my nerves.

Some of the leaders have an intro tune followed with their diplo tune. I didn't notice this until I started playing with the music files. Seems I had usually did my actions during the intro tunes. I think(if I remember right), that Hatty and Izzy have two diplo tunes each. To completely change the music you will need two tunes.

Forgot to mention there are more music folders than era music.

I can just see Heart's "What about love?" playing when Hatty comes up! I can think of some songs that could be leader-specific. Thanks for the amusing idea. I'll take a look into it and see what I can come up with.

That is pretty much what I did. Love songs for Hatty, Izzy, and Catherine. Was just experimenting to see if I could change the music.

I was actually thinking of Heart's "The Wolf" for Izzy - she's always a total b**** to me. I NEVER manage to get good relations with her. Women. Pft.

At least Catherine is polite.. most of the time.
