Diplomacy text: ActualQuotes for Warlords

I've had some questions regarding the compatibility of this mod with patch 2.08.

The mod is compatible. No need to update.

Thanks!

FYI, one line in CIV4DiplomacyInfos.xml changed between v2.00 and v2.08 of Warlords. You might want to pick that up in your mod just in case. Line 5686 (5794 in your mod) changed from

<Text>AI_DIPLO_DEMAND_TRIBUTE_POWER_STRONGER_LOUIS_XIV_1</Text>

to

<Text>AI_DIPLO_DEMAND_TRIBUTE_POWER_STRONGER_LOUIS_XIV</Text>

(EDIT: corrected the line number)

Yeah I know. That's Firaxis fixing an oversight. I already fixed it for them in the mod.

I don't get it... your mod is dated August, and 2.08 was released in October. Your mod matches 2.00 in that line, not 2.08. Or am I just being dense again? I already bugged poor TheLopez to death about something that was just an oversight on my part :).

All right, my bad. I just assumed (never assume!) that this fix was one of the many little glitches I found throughout these files. Looking at it, I realise this one glitch I missed.

The mod will still work. But it looks like it's time for doing an update. There are some other little things I'd like to fix too.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, jray! :)

OK, version 3.5 is up.

It fixes some minor issues, but I also decided to add a whole bunch of new quotes -- more than 30 in fact.

So if you like my little mod, I suggest you get the new version :)

Here!

should be common sense.

This is great work Willowmound. Very nice :goodjob:. You've done quite a lot of research on it.

I hate typos!

Thanks for pointing it out :)

EDIT: ...Yeah I thought I didn't have a 'demand tribute' quote for Genghis. Turns out, this is a Firaxis typo. I'll fix it for them though, in the next version. Still appreciate you spotting it, Watiggi.

Hey, that's great :)

You know, the original Warlords version was released back in August. I'm glad you've discovered it now though ;)

I can't find a link for the Vanilla version. Does the Warlords version work for Vanilla as well?

I'm trying to find this mod for Vanilla and can't find it. Did you make one? If not, would editing your files to remove all the Warlords leaders make it work for Vanilla? Thanks.

EDIT- Nevermind, I got sniped. With a link, too! Yay!

I'm tempted to adapt this great mod to my copy of Rhye's and Fall. Got any suggestions for Hammurabi? :p

Not off the top of my head.

I use the mod myself with Rhye's. Put it in custom assests and run Rhye's normally. Works great.

Though of course, Hammurabi won't say anything to you when you meet him.

I have an issue.
When I installed the mod for Warlords, it worked fine. No problems whatsoever.
However, when I try playing online it makes me show up as *MOD*Leeksoup. Everyone instantly screams "boot the mod!!!!", and I can't play online now.
I would just uninstall the files, but they have overwritten some files that surely can't be deleted.
I would just reinstall Civ, but my little brother used my disk as a coaster for his spaghetti bowl one night, and, well, he's three. -_-
Does anyone have a copy of the original files this mod overwrites? Please?

It says on the main page here, and in the manual, and everywhere else, to install mods in Custom Assests only, and not overwrite program files.

I'd give you the original files, but I don't think CFC would like it. It could be considered piracy.

I know the manual said that, but I don't have a custom assets folder. So I had to make due.
