Disabling animal faction/Archos spiders

Hmmm, I guess it works. I've got my first baby spider at torn 150... A bit long, no? :)
Also the city is of size 6, shouldn't it spawn "normal" spiders (played as Archos too far ago)?

Can you recommend a few tips how to level up this single spider of str. 3 into something?

baby spiders are hidden nationality. You might try to sit it near a border and see if you can ambush another civ's worker or Settler.

I guess a baby spider that scores any combat victory grows up. Never verified that myself though.

Need size 4 for baby spiders, size 8 for giant (used to be 5 and 10). Increasing the size of the nest city or just creating extra cities helps spawn them quicker.

50% chance if they win any fight (up from 30%).

Personally I wait until I have a couple, then hunt them together (same way I use scouts when exploring). If you attack something with the first and lose, odds are the second will finish it off and level as a result. With that level, it becomes easier to gain a couple more, especially if you managed to upgrade to Giant Spider the first time...

You're not supposed to see any spiders. They're invisible
Excuse me, do you even care to read? I am Archos :).

Thank you for the tip about winning, I was like without spiders at all and then suddenly got a huge army of giant spiders and a lot of free workers :).
