Disapearance and apearance of resources question?

1. Can a resource be on the same tile for the whole game and nowhere else?
2. can a resource not apear at all for the entire game?
3. if a resource is depleted does it appear randomly on on another tile?

1.Yes (but it is unlikely that there will be only one tile of it except on the smallest maps)

2. Yes (ditto)

3. Yes (as long as there is a valid tile for it to go to).
