Disappearing Legates

In my last game. Playing as Rome. I had 3 Legates (6 Promos, 3 Promos, and 1 Promo). With 3 Turns left in the era, Himiko and Machievelli declared war. The 6 and 3 Promo Legates were killed. 3 turns later, the era ended. The war ended, we all switched civs. Once the Exploration Era opened, both AI's reconciled. However, I expected 2 Army Commanders to appear at some point. They never did. The Legate that survived, Turned into a Regular Army Commander.

Yeah, if a commander of any kind is dead at age transition they are gone forever.

This has been changed then. In the early days, I had a dead commander, but on age transition, he reappeared.

It could be that change did not successfully cover UU commanders.
