Thanks Donsig, for raising the issue of the "next war" for early discussion. It is excellent, from the point of view of long-term planning, to get debate underway. Even though the end of the Aztec war may yet be some considerable time away, we should all definately try to think about this issue very carefully.
Firstly, there is a poll about future directions (war path / peace path) current. Last time I looked it was fairly close, but with the war path showing a promising lead. This could all change however, so the outcome of this poll will of course determine whether there will even be a "next war" in forseeable future, or at least one which we start.
Secondly, we have as yet very scant information/intelligence on either (or indeed any) of our possible rivals and/or targets. We clearly need to significantly improve our intelligence. We should probably start with maps. Can someone post up our latest and best maps into this thread to aid the discussion? By the same token, I wonder if the FA could provide us with a comparative summary, here, of its relevant intelligence on our competitors (eg. techs, attitude, army size comparisons etc.) We probably need some embassies to help with this information. In other words, lets make this discussion an informed discussion - at the moment we are all dealing in bits and pieces, with facts mixed with opinions. Lets make intelligence a priority, and then use it as our weapon.
