Display Adapter help needed.

Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family

I want a better graphics/display adapter, but I can't find out anything about the above-mentioned hardware. Obviously I need to know where I am coming from to get to where I intend to go. I want something better than that, but if I don't know what I got, I can't very well be sure that I am buying something better. I can guess, but I don't want to.

HELP!

I am having a hard time running the graphics in Civ4 and other games like C&C Zero Hour. Thus my need for a better adapter.

The first Google result says: up to 256mb VRAM, DirectX 9.0c, OpenGL 1.4, no hardware T&L, Shader model 2.0. It's hard to buy anything worse than that. HD4670s and 9600GTs are quite cheap on Newegg

Thanks, I decided to go out and talk to my guy at the mall who knows his and he said pretty much the same thing. It sucks and anything is better than what I got.

Yeah the G3x chipsets are pretty much so you dont have to have a separate GPU to display your basic desktop. Not meant for anything but the lightest 3d tasks.

If you got a computer with that kind of chipset though, you may have issues with expansion slots. Make sure you have at least one PCIe x16 slot for a graphics card.
