Display Problem (Can't see any text and menu), please help

Please help, I can load the game without problems, but when I enter the game, (see the big earth and the title "Civilization IV"), I didn't see any option menu and description text.

I can try tutorial or play a fast game by clicking my mouse blindly in the background.

My PC is quite high-end, 2Ghz, 1Gb ram, using GeForce FX5600 XT with the lastest driver.

Directx 9.0c, the config is posted as follows.

Im having the exact same problem, bought the game this morning.... very frustrating.

Problem solved.

was a graphics driver problem. Went to nvidia.com and downloaded/installed the driver.

I have this exact same problem but I am using the latest graphics drivers (ATI FireGL T2 128mb) and it only started happening _after_ I added an additional 1gb ram to my system in order to play civ4 with higher game performance.
