DLC recommendation

Perhaps it's just me but I thought Khmer was a letdown - the domrey unit costs too much to build and the bonus to aqueduct adjecency requires you to actually build aqueducts, which is not something I usually do. Khmer is nowhere near as fun to play as Indonesia, or Macedon or Persia.

Why build Domreys when you can buy them with faith? By the time they unlock, you can easily run a 2nd tier government and build the Grand Master's Chapel. Use your production to get those aqueducts up and running for an obscene amount of faith per turn.

Khmer is a lot of fun but you need to adjust your play style quite a bit.

I agree, while the Viking DLC was poor value if bought at full price, it has been discounted, and I think you can still find it on sale on sites like g2a games (I'd recommend only picking sellers with positive reviews, however) - and it's the DLC I get the most fun out of across games, because it adds a lot of general content and not just civ-specific stuff.

Interesting, I kind of dismissed that DLC but you got me thinking.
