DLL Mod

Assuming that, for now, I'm not very concerned about playing nice with other mods that might want to use a custom DLL...

How do I get started on writing a mod for Civ:BE that uses a DLL to change things? (Can I?)

I saw an interview where they said they wanted to expose more of the game to modification through the XML and Lua. Hope so.
 
Well, it's still basically Civ5, but there are some interesting things going on in the Lua that can be changed and adapted--and those would probably have been done in C++ had it been the same design philosophy.

Plus they backported a few new methods from BE to Civ5 in the patch released yesterday, which is nice.
