Do I have to buy "Civ IV" if I want "Civ IV Warlords"

I am considering buying Civ IV, since I recently discovered the game civilization and had a lot of fun with it.

I have seen that Civ IV Warlords for Mac will be released very soon. Now I wonder if this extension also contains the base game, or if I have to buy the base game Civ IV separately in order to play the extension.

Yes. Warlords is only an expansion. You will need to have the base game first before you can play Warlords.

Warlords is only an expansion - so you need the core game as well.
