Nah quiter probably because its not new anymore hehe.

We rolled with a rating thread for a few months, One guy would wait till Civ4 was in the lead the next minute a Guy would post back with CIv3 back in control. The thread attracted such attention(and concern) The mods added the special projects forums to Civ4'sC+C numbers. Civ3 has these forums to, They were left out for some reason. Anyway this helped CIv4 gain the lead again. Im just surprised that CIv3 managed to rise past its successor again in the popularity(at a given time) polls.

Right now, 272 people on the CIV4 forums, 146 on the CIV3 forums...

You added Tech forums: So Civ4 has 3x the amount of people seeking help cause their games crashing!-YOU think that says something good about Civ4?. I take it thats what this means?: "he he"

You added General Talk: No son, We went over this, the numbers in General Chat are juiced in CIv4's favour. read on if you doubt me

CIv3 Gen Dis been talked to death compared to new topics that persist in Civ4.like "whens the next patches", and "whens the next expansion"? or general topics many like to read are always in the latest chapters forum. example" "Welcome new players" "How old are you"--that last one was started by a Civ3 player then it was taken out and moved to CIv4, to prove my point.

How is the number of people following stories or playing succsesion game going to influence your expierence down the line. I'll tell you the # of modders contibuting to refinments will improve your expierence!. Thats why I stressed the C+C numbers are the only meaningful ratings to compare. (which by, a 6 year old game proves every day at some point its more the most popular in. Whats Civ4's exuse for that? Civ3 dosn't need one, IT SHOULD BE LOSING, but its not

Why do you glorify Civ4's lead in most complaints and tech troubles.I would "he he" to this, if 'fanboyism' wasn't so sad..

And again just for you(cuz i know your hear this)

You can't compare anything but interest in making the game better(C+C) For that shows what standard People use when they custimize there prefences

Theres only one place to compare, No stop hurtin yourself and add up the tally that might benift CIv4s position.

I read your remarks "Last thing I want is anyone hating me over a game" Im thinking well, clever way to slip the cloak on me in regards to my Fanboyism remark (kidding)

however I realy never intended to show hate! nor when I defenend my words of reason or used others that belittled. Im sorry if I was wrong. I only locked the flow I figured someone set as tone to mock me (so I wrongly though, I guess)

Man, the only opnion that I expressed about it all the way was about the new thing hehe, I dont know if CIV3 is more popular or not than CIV4 and I dont care, all I know is that I loved CIV3 and love even more CIV4 As far as there is enough people around the forums of CIVfanatic(and not only in civ3 or civ4 part) then I'm fine

Yeah man, some forums are really hard. In the forum of some online games it looks like(actually its probably true) half of the accounts are made for flame..And I loved this forum because most of the people are really more mature, what the game requires in some kind of way hehe, and I Really dont want ANY fight or enemy here, just peace

And that i why I think this forum will never die, there is always enoguh mature and smart people out there ready to play and discuss CIV

Your right! it will never die! Civ4 is only one chapter in long sega that is unfolding.
This is a cool place to hit up, and ya one reason is for lack of those flamers you speak. (Ive been witness to some core 'shredfests' on other sites) Still it used to get pretty bad If one said they preferred Civ3 over Civ4 here aswell. Im glad we are all exercising are opinons with less crazy hit and run comments.
Also for mature disscussion come by the Civ3 joint some time! I'll introduce you to some friends.(Balancer Reloaded, n Rise n Rule)
(of course if you don't like Civ3 modded you might feel a little left out)
All the oldest members on average hang out there I believe (may be wrong)

Im feeling A shift from the two forums and thats all Im saying. No worries though For ever guy who leaves two newbies I usually seem to notice

I was just trying to say to a member who added two totals (All the forums of civ3 n Civ4 ) together and said one being higher makes it greater then the other in terms of populatity, wasn't correct.(whew!) In this case Civ4 was higher and so where the tech numbers as usual

My response only meant to say this is a flawed approach In that, The most complaints and tech problems can't be translated to suggest the highest popular usage of a forum(or productive I also explained)

So what you say supports my reasoning.

Still the post was apparently taken from a misunderstood perspetive so Id rather not answer any more quotes on that particular peice, hence it wouldn't be fair to the one who I originally responded to if thats not what he had indended to say in the first place .

guys, relax lah as we would say here....it's just a game.
Obviously the fanbois are gone faster than us real fanatics.

Personally I prefer C3C, but then it's good to see those who preferred Civ2 now liking CIV. This way, we can be sure there will be Civ5. That's what we all are waiting for.

And I hope they learned their lessons from Civ4 + 3 to give us an even better Civ5.

The boards have definetly quieted since the releases of Civ 4 and Warlords, but they sure are noisy. OT is getting more heated every day now.
