Do the Celtic pantheon bonuses not work for other civs?

I'm playing a game in which neighbouring Celts made a religion with the pantheon belief 'Morrigan, the Harbinger', which says that you earn Gold, Culture and Golden Age Points if you kill a unit. I conquered the Celts without founding a religion and took hers. However, even after spreading it to all my cities I am not getting any Gold or GA points from unit kills, and only the usual Authority culture yields.

Is it always this way with the Celts? It sucks not getting any pantheon bonus at all :/

Jack, no, no other civ except the Celts can benefit from their pantheons, even if you conquer their holy city. That's one of the special things about having the Celts in the game. I too thought I'd get their pantheon if I conquered their Holy City, but was disappointed when I found out it's not so. Still, you get founder and enhancer beliefs, which is something

Goddaminit, you're right. I think I looked at everything except that, I suppose I expected it to be in the religion description somewhere. Well at least now I know.

Havent thought about that.
If you have your own pantheon, conquer celts holy city and get their religion, you still sit there with no pantheon because the religion now includes a null pantheon?

Yep I can confirm this from my game. Even owning the religion completely, I have no pantheon. Well I do, but I receive no bonuses on it. I think it wouldn't be unreasonable for the religion owner to get the bonus, but I can respect the design choice to not have that. The one thing that I will say against it though, is that if you're playing as the Celts on immortal/deity you're unlikely to succeed in spreading your religion to anybody else (which in my experience is just more or less impossible in general). So you don't really gain a benefit from the exclusivity of the pantheon when playing as Celts, and it only really works against the player when Celts are an AI in their game.
