mountain ranges are good borders, but not the ONLY borders. I think 'cresent' is especialy too large as it stands. Under this model, we would only get 3-4, maybe 5 provinces. That is not enough.
Counting the land tiles, I found "Cresent Mountain" to actually have the fewest land tiles of the three proposed Provinces. It has 127 land tiles. "Capitalione" has 147 and "2 Die 4" has 151. If you add these numbes up, it comes to 425. Divide that number by 4 and you get 106. Why have I done this? Because 106 equals 5 twenty-two tile cities. (Well, close enuf!)
I'm thinking if we were to keep the provinces laid out as containing enough room to hold 5 cities (106 tiles), then we could turn the space CT laid out in her map above from 3 Provinces to 4 Provinces.
Four Governors is better than three Governors. Who knows how much more land we will get? This may be it. Are Legionaries obsolete yet? I voted no.
Hmmm.... wasn't there a poll on number of cities per province? How do these borders fit in with the results of that poll? Aside from that I don't like the southern border of To Dye For 2. Seems like it should end sooner.
Also with To Dye For, you can see that there is a small amount of territory to the south and southeast of the proposed province. As you can see coast touches in many of these tiles it's pretty much a guarantee that there's just a small amount of land there. Have 2 Dye For extend from the south tip and work northward as there is more territory to use to the north and northeast.
I don't like To Dye For. I'd like the southern part to be cut of. It's southern border could be near the cattle and the horses. We'll cut around 25 tiles off.
I don't agree with Cyc on the number of tiles for provinces. A mountain province can be slightly bigger as mountains are no city-sites. In this case To Dye For is exaggerated in size.
That was iffy for me too, since I'd like to see most of the land first. After yet another failed poll by me I'll make a poll for the first two provinces.
There's nothing wrong with *failed* polls CT. If they show you what the citizens want then they are not failures at all. Keep up the good work that you are doing.
