Do you roleplay your civ?

Maybe a Greenpeace unit?

Heh, that would be pretty funny. Barbs that you can't attack, and which pillage your whale and cow resources.

Anyway, increased treant spawn would work, I guess.

hmm.. that gave me an idea, maybe instead of treants just spawning, they would remove the ancient forest when they appear (basically the entire forest gets up to fight), and then when the threat is gone they can have an ability to replant themselves.

and when an axemen tries to chop an ancient forest it could create the treant, remove the forest, and then battle could ensue (so tryin to chop down ancient forests would force the spawn and could allw the enemy to kill the trees that way)

this would stop the mass treant spawning you get when hordes of barbarians attack leaves (since the number that can exist is finite) (sometimes raging barbs is just annoying due to all the treants you have to manage)

not sure if thats really a good idea, but it could be fun

Tree ents need a boost. I think there should be a difference between the tree ents that druids can summon, and the treeents that appear at random.

Firstly, once any sort of major operative warfare occurs, most ents are outdated. Thier str just isnt enough, making the summoned versions better becuase of promotions. Personally since one cannot control how often an ent appears (not very often in my esteem) they should be stronger. I would like to see a Str 12 ent (not summoned). Becuase a str 8 5star is going to be stronger anyway. But a nice big ent to run around in the forest destroying your enemies.

I recently played the Ljosalfar, and got into a war pretty late game across an ocean, i sent a majority of my units, and a neighbor (Dovilello or whatever) whom had a hatred of me since the beginnig of the game launched an attack into my nice and heavily wooded terrain. Turning a many turn escapade, only one ent ever appeared, and with war machines, war charriots, berserkers and the like running around, he was not a very effective unit. I think he killed one weaker object. But honestly, i think ents should be more feared. Could they get an attack bonus to attack INTO a forest terrain? So no matter if they defend (while in a forest) or attack (Into a forest) they're getting boni?

It just makes me sad to see ents as less than reliable fodder, when my brain has been trained to think of them as awe-inspiring.

They should recieve immense bonuses in the forests, and especially the ancient forests. And possibly stay longer then they do?

And aswell, if you implement that some units (orcs etc) can cut down woods, should increase the chance they will spawn.

To get back on topic...I like to roleplay and like Kael (short of playing naked with a fireman's helmet on) I like the more strange combinations. I am trying to write a series of stories about the creation of the Baron using different combinations of civs and religions. If I manage to get the Baron (I generally don't rush him too hard) I try and write a story. My favorite has been the Calabim - Fellowship of the Leaves combo...that turned into a lot of fun to roleplay.

I roleplay, as order I never conquer I only liberate, I never pillage I make tactical operations, but if enemy pillages he is of course a terrorist. And sometimes I raze enemy holy city not minding the disadvantages.
