More time at CFC. Why? I spend zero time with Civ 3, so it's not a contest! My 4.77 MHz IBM PC Mark I computer is not yet powerful to jump into Civ 3.... :)

I had one of those! :) It's at Good Samiritan's now. :) (probably in a museum by now, actually).

And yes, I do spend more time here. ;) The demogame adds a twist to the game - a role playing aspect.

Aye I was also dissapointed by Civ3. I play Civ2 more, it's better (but all I play is scenarios)

I think Civ3 will get better when the new editor comes. But, I think it's a bit too late in the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).

Although, companies will *ALWAYS* assure you that their products still have a lot of life left in them! :D

Well I've been playing Civ 3 for a while, and it certainly doesn't grab me as much as the first two ever did-probably because I find the game too hard! It seems that if there is anything much in the way of misfortune early in the game, you don't have much of a chance of catching up to the computer. At least in Civ 2 you could wage a diplomatic war to some effect, but not in this one :O(

Okay, okay, I'll post. I voted playing Civ3. Although I surf CFC constantly, its no where near the hours w/ Civ3.

spose im on the website more and more each day as i get more involved in posts. Sometimes the early gameplay in civ 3 can be a bit tedious so it puts me off starting fresh for this reason i cruise CFC more.

I usually spend about equal time on both, which has been close to zero in the last few weeks. GOTM 8 put the spark back in the game for me, so I've spent about 12 hours in the last two days playing Civ III, and probably 4 - 5 hours in the forums here at CFC, so for now the scales are tipped towards Civ III.

Of course I'm spending more time playing Daggerfall (had to blow some major dust off of the box) right now than either of these, but that wasn't an option <g>

Last two months my usage has been evenly split: zero at CIV 3 and zero at CFC. This week I finally have access to PC and Internet, though it will only last a few more days...:(

So mods and members, take it as a compliment that I choose to log into CFC and catch up on the latest rather than start a new game of CIV 3.

Interesting that so many admit to spending more time here than actually playing.... at heart civfanatics are a social bunch....

If anyone at Firaxis is dismayed by this poll: BRING ON MP!!!!!!

....er....there isn't a vote option for "....I spend more time making new units than actually playing!".

I second the nomination!!!

innaccurate poll. It doedsn't include the people who play civ without going to cfc.
If they never go to cfc they cant vote :) Anyway I think the poll was aimed at cfc users and was asking them if they use cfc more than play civ.

I loved civ2 and its capabilties and plethora of scenarios but civ3 has been a major disappointment to me.

You're kidding right?
Civ2's AI was PATHETIC!!! In Civ2 the computer was incapable of launching overseas attacks, they built fortresses around their cities and then left them open for our use. The list goes on, and on, and on...

I like Civ3 more if only for the improved AI, though I concede the point that Civ3 needs senarios, but eventually people will create them and post them on CFC

Sometimes I'll have the the message board up while I'm playing Civ III..I toggle back and forth when my workers are doing their thing :)
