I definitely keep playing regular Civ4, BTS. It's more about building a civilization culturally and technologically, with war only being one of the many things you can do. FFH2 is focused on warfare, arcane destruction or trying to stop it. It feels more like a regular war strategy game. They are two different games that I enjoy.

I play FFH2 multiplayer, and BTS with the Revolution mod for single player.

If I didn't play multiplayer I'd probably play about 50/50, FFH2 and Revolution. I enjoy FFH2's dark fantasy background and gameplay, but Revolution's domestic dissent mechanic is a huge improvement to the game IMO. Too bad FFH2 and Revolution aren't very compatible, and not just technically.

I didn't play vanilla for a long time. I often tried but got bored soon, i recently rediscovered it in multiplayer game, and then got back to occasional single player games as well.

No...but that has been my track record for every TBS civ-style game I've played.

I'd rather play Fan-created Mods... :goodjob:

I recently played vanilla with a friend only to discover that I had completely forgotten what to do. I eventually remembered that it was good to have Axemen and managed to conquer a neighbor, but my civics were messed up from the start.

I was a Warlord player - on a mac.

When I saw EverNoob's story about the Grigori I just had to try this mod. It convinced me to at last install windows on my mac and I got me a complete set of Civ and expansions just to play it. I haven't played a single game of BtS.

In my first game I was very confused but also very hooked. I failed utterly trying to delve into the magic system with the Khazad. The choices and complete differentiation between the civs is for me a big part of the fun. In those area Vanilla Civ is very plain compared to FFH.

I prefer to play ffh, but I still like vanilla,

ffh can't compare to having a nuclear weapons race or trying to launch a spaceship....

but vanilla can't compare to holding off demonic hordes as the world slowly turns to hell....

No vanilla for me either, though I've played it a lot until FfH 1 came out and in some phases were nothing new happened with FfH (last time that happened was last summer - I played the official extended mod with the future era).
