Does anyone know of a FREEWARE (no trials!) AVI to MPG converter that works? I need MPGs to make animations, but my youtube converter only makes AVIs. thanks.

Well, I always recommend a free program called 'Super C'. It is very versatile, and can convert between many different video (and audio) formats.
