Does anyone build more than one neighborhood in a city?

I have yet to have a city with two or more neighborhoods. The ability to built them comes close to the ability to tech to build sewers, and one neighborhood and maybe a sewer basically lasts me til the win.

I think part of the issues is that I'm not aggressively trying to grow cities, especially in the end game, as there's not a lot to do with excess population. They can work district spots, but those don't really add much at the end of the game. I feel like they might need a buff or something (i.e. the first is +2, the second is +4, the third is +6 instead of +2/+2/+2).

Does anyone find much of a benefit to end game high-pop cities?

Funnily enough I mentioned this in another thread, I completely missed the fact that you can actually build more than one neighbourhood per city!

I only play on King so I'm not sure how this would scale up, but even with this self-imposed rule I did not find a difficulty in winning games.

High population = more science.

More science = higher district costs.

Therefore, population harms you.

Except that more population also equals more production, and more production and more science equals more of just about everything you could conceivably want in a game of civ.
