Does anyone here like this game?

I, for one, think this is the best Civ game, if not the best strategy game, of all time. Besides some minor issues (French tech tree, "Play" disc,) this game runs smoothly and I've been having the most immense fun since, well, Civ III. I hate to use a Nixon-concieved phrase, but I think the people that like this game are just the silent majority and the minority that don't like it are just the loudest.

I absolutely love it. Played 5 hoyurs last night LAN with a buddy of mine. The game ran extremely smoothly except for one event. We did have a CTD simultaniously after about 2 hours. We both fired up the game and resumed the auto-save (lost only 1 turn) and played another3 hours without issue.


I've played roughly 20 hours single player without any crashes and have been having a blast. Best Civ by far in my opinion.

Its the best Civ ever ... mainly cause the diplomacy is so much better now... and the units with their specific "skills" changed alot in gameplay... however the release is abit buggy cause i had to try out 5 diffrent drivers to see which one works best for me... and to my suprise its an omega driver from a half year ago that works best for me. With the newest ATI drivers the frames were beyond horrible and the game almost unplayable...
However even with the glitches i think this is the best Civ ever... cant wait for the first mods and units that ppl will create

I agree with above, this is a far superior game IMO, mostly due to the improved AI, improved combat system, and the religion and great people dynamics that are added. Oh....and Im really enjoying the vastly superior civics system as well.

Yep, it's the best Civ yet. Lots of great new features: religion, great people, unit promotions, better dipomacy and AI, etc. I'd miss most of that stuff if I fired up an older version of Civ now.

I LOVE it! I stay up to 12 or 1am, when I have to get up at 6am so I don't feel so good when I get up ...It's an awesome game and I can't stop playing it. I'm with you guys it's the BEST Civ ever.

Yes, I like it! Even when I can't be playing, I'm constantly critiquing my strategy or thinking up different tactics.

I love it much more then the other Civs, but I'm trying to hold off playing for about a week in hopes of a patch. Gotta level up my warlock on WoW anyways
