Why do you care?
I do. Wonderful game.

I just reached three-quarters of a million population in my biggest city! Hah! And I still have lots of undeveloped land; I'll get to a million within thirty (game) years. The region (which I've split roughly in half with my friend) has a population of about 4 million. Decent, considering that about a third of the land area is undeveloped.

I just got SimCity 4 Deluxe for my birthday. I would have bought Rush Hour if it weren't for EA not selling it anymore. Oh well. 'Tis a fun game. :) I hope to learn more about it.

SimCity Central is a great place to discuss SC4. I am also CivCube over there.

Yep, I play it. I haven't played in a while, although I plan to start up again some day soon.

Deluxe includes Rush Hour.

Yes I have it, it's pretty good, but I prefer 2k

Yes, but Sim City 3 Unlimited was better, imho.
Heretic.

Oand I'm an SCC member too.

That's why I'm annoyed. I already have the original SimCity 4.

I play it every once in awhile, but I end up just getting frustrated. I can never seem to get my city above 20,000 or if I can I can only do it by getting a project like the Missile Base or Army Base. Can anyone offer some hints?

Are you playing basic SC4 or do you have Rush Hour? (or Deluxe)

What's wrong? I can never make a city much larger than 20,000 people, and with SC3KU, I made one with 1,000,000, once. Also, SC3KU has 3 building sets: European, North American, and Asian. Your cities can look different and stuff with those. SC4 only has 1 way, so more suck points. SC4 made regions, and that was the only real improvement.

Correction: SC4 has four building sets: Chicago, New York, Houston, and Euro-Contemporary.

Dang it, my head is going to explode if it doesn't choose between SC4 and Morrowind to play.

@Lockesdonkey, I am playing regular SC4. I don't really wanna buy Rush Hour until I can get the hang of SC4.

@DS_Legionary: Rush Hour improves the traffic and the traffic AI, and you can query for many commute details so you can better plan your road networks. It will help your city get bigger and better.

As a SC3K/U junkie, I thought I'd love SC4....but I don't. My zones never develop properly, and I have no idea why, and it has nothing to do with RCI. But residential zones remain empty even though ones right next door are developing. Maybe there are some underlying rules not mentioned in the manual I'm missing.

I also miss the petitioners. :(

SC4 won't run on my computer, once I get a new computer then I'll get it. I've been playing SC3K and working on making some scenarios.

SC4 came with a rather nasty error, download the patch.

I had it then I lost the first disk, but I thought no big deal. Then my computer messe up and I had to reinstall Windows and it deleted all my stuff. So now I cant play. Maybe ill go out and buy it again or borrow a cd from someone.
Byut while I had it it was sometimes frustrating, but playable. and messing with the land was very fun
