Does the AI bombard Barbarians?

Anyone ever seen the AI using bombardment of any kind against Barbarians?

I'm trying to set up a scenario where I want to keep out a civ for most of the time, and my idea was to surrround their cities with impassable terrain except for one tile, and then place an immobile Barbarian with an obscene defence there. Autogenerate an Artillery/ CM in a certain turn, and *BOOM*.

Surprisingly, that does work as intended - as long as the 'Block' is not Barbarian, but from a Civ that AI is at war with...

Someone an idea how to get the AI to go for the Barbs?

As said, I want to make it impossible for some Civs to reach the others:

Surround the city with 7 tiles of impassable terrain. Put a 1.20.1 (immobile, in c3c move=0 isn't allowed any more) on the 8th tile. At a certain turn, a Bombardment unit with an obscene bombard value is autoproduced by a preplaced city improvement.
The idea isn't bad, it is working in general (for any reason, the AI must attack with something else before it uses the Cruise Missiles, even if that are Archers.. :dknow: ), but only as long as the blocking unit is 'affiliated'.
While the AI hunts down Barbarian/ Hidden Nationality units like mad, it seems not to use any kind of bombardment against them :crazyeye:

When I was modding my game with new cruise missile type units, I've noticed that the AI doesn't use cruise missiles against units in the open that cost less than double the production cost of the cruise missile. It does attack cheaper units when they're inside a city (comparable to attacking armies in cities but not in the open).

So make the immobile unit more expensive?

This might not work as I never did any test with barbarians and maybe the AI doesn't consider the cost of the unit in case of a barbarian.

I'm no good at editing scenari, don't even know how it works, but I think arty have the ability to bombard enemy units walking around. Or is it just Modern Armor ? And is it true for barb ?
If u block 2 adjacent tiles instead of one with barb units, then u make both of them move to switch position, will they be bombed ?
